The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. at the federal building, 255 E. Temple St. Jim Goodwin with the Federal Protection Service, the uniformed security police division of the Department of Homeland Security, said the man was stopped by officers who saw a firearm inside the vehicle. United Federation LEOS-PBA President Charles Chip Strebeck noted " We are very proud of these Paragon Systems Protective Service Officers (PSO's) in stopping this event.. The quick thinking of these Paragon PSO's in detecting what was about to possibly happen based on their observation of this armed man trying to enter the Edward R.
