July 16, 2021 Bethesda, Maryland. The United Federation LEOS-PBA Law Enforcement Officers Security & Police Benevolent Association (LEOS-PBA) on behalf of the Paragon Protective Service Officers National Union (PSONU) has officially filed an election with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to represent All full-time and regular part-time Lieutenants and Lead Security Officers performing guard duties as defined in section 9(b)(3) of the National Labor Relations Act, employed by Paragon Systems Inc @ National Institute of Health (NIH) at various facilities throughout the state of Maryland.

The 300 plus Paragon Systems, Inc security officers working @ the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Maryland will also soon be voting for our Union United Federation LEOS-PBA and our affiliated Union Paragon Protective Service Officers National Union (PSONU) to represent these NIH Paragon System officers.

Both these NIH Paragon System Lieutenants, LSO's & Security Officers seek their independence from their current union that for years has failed them. This is just one more Paragon Systems unit where Paragon officers seek to rid themselves of the same old union that made BIG promises but delivered NOTHING!

In other news, the Security Walls Security Officers working @ the National Agriculture Library (NAL) in Beltsville MD, Agricultural Research Center (BARC), MD & U.S. National Arboretum (USNA) DC have filed a Union Deuathorization petition with the NLRB to remove the Union Security clause from their CBA. This is the same Union that presently represents the 300 NIH Paragon officers.

Most recently over 1,500 members from several units around the country have left this Union citing poor representation and its failure to service its members. This included Paragon system units in Los Angeles, Orange county, Oakland, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial counties in California, Ronald Regan building in Washington DC, DC Water in Washington DC, Paragon Systems and Security Walls in New Orleans, LA, Braidwood Nuclear in Illinois, Ginna Nuclear in upstate New York, Trinity College and Connecticut just to name a few.

Just recently the members of this particular Union also filed several petitions with the NLRB seeking to remove the Union security clause from their contracts and were successful. This included the security officers working for Paragon systems @ NASA JPL in California, Fiore @ JPL in California and Meritus in the state of Washington.

If you are a Paragon System Protective Service Officer and would like to find out more about the benefits of joining Paragon Protective Service Officers National Union (PSONU) please contact us toll free @ 877-60-PSONU (877-607-7668) and a Paragon PSONU organizer will be happy to assist you and answer all your questions.
